Teme o mladim igračima i reprezentacijama

Statistički, po metodu negativnog bodovanja, ove godine smo najbolja evropska selekcija u mlađim kategorija. Zlato, bronza i peto mesto.

Nemanja Popovic | Serbia

Player type: 6-foot-8 defensive playmaker

Growing up in a small town in Serbia, playing for lesser-known club KK Vizura, Popovic had very little exposure to NBA scouts prior to the U16s. Somewhat of a late bloomer, Popovic will be joining Red Star's youth system next season.

Quick scout: Popovic wasn't overly productive in a traditional sense at the under-16s, but time and time again, he proved to be one of Serbia's most valuable players. At 6-foot-8 with a 7-foot-1 wingspan, a nice frame, impressive fluidity and outstanding feet, Popovic has excellent defensive potential and was regularly used as a stopper, checking multiple positions on the perimeter and the interior. Sporting a funky shot that produces side spin, Popovic isn't much of a scoring threat in the half court. He can also be a bit erratic in his decision making, but Popovic has natural passing instincts that really stood out over the course of the tournament. He's an excellent straight line driver in space and can really facilitate while on the move.

Popovic plays an instinctual, carefree brand of basketball and doesn't overthink the game despite being only 15 years old. Popovic needs more experience and discipline, but his passing, tools and defensive versatility are quite intriguing long term.

Standout stats: 4.4 assists and 2.3 steals per 40 minutes

Dorde Pazin | Serbia

Player type: 6-foot-7 versatile shooter

Pazin has been a known prospect among international scouts for some time. The central Serbia native has been in Italy with Stella Azzurra for the past three years, and had a brief stint with Real Madrid prior to that. He first appeared in the 2015 Adidas Next Generation Tournament as a 14-year-old and has had a lot of success at the Italian under-18 level with Stella.

Quick scout: Pazin is a versatile shot-maker who can spot up, sprint off of screens or make contested one-dribble pull-ups. With good size, an average frame and a negative wingspan, the Serbian guard isn't a physical specimen by any means and needs to improve both as a defender and decision maker, but his scoring instincts and shot making are certainly noteworthy. Although he struggles to create efficient offense against high-level defenders, there's value in tough shot makers like Pazin, and his productivity at the youth level can't be ignored.

Standout stats: 3.5 3s made per 40 minutes at 40 percent

Mogli su i malog Karapandžića da obrade...ne vidim da ima slabiji upside od malog Italijana kojeg su obradili.
